Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh held an online conversation with US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry on March 30.
A ceremony was held in Vientiane on March 20 to hand over the new National Assembly Building to the Lao legislature, which is a gift from the Vietnamese Party, State and people.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Huynh Hoanh Hanh, Deputy Director of Local Department III - Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem, Member of the Central Executive Committee of Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association; Mr. Nguyen Tong Nhiem – Member of Municipal People Committee, Deputy Head of the Party's Municipal Committee's Commission of Inspection; Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang - Chairwoman of Can Tho City Union of Friendship Organizations; representatives of the Party building committees, the Fatherland Front Committee, line agencies, and mass organizations; Executive Committee and members of grassroots associations of Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association in Can Tho City; Cambodian students studying in Can Tho city.
Implementing the program on people-to-people diplomacy work in 2020 in order to create conditions for Union officials to gain more experience in organizing the implementation of people-to-people diplomacy, Can Tho City Union of Friendship Organizations organized a delegation led by Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang – Chairwoman of Can Tho City Union of Friendship Organizations on August 27, 2020, to study, exchange and share experiences in people-to-people diplomacy work with Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations.
On August 20, 2020, the delegation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs led by Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the National Border Committee worked with leaders of Can Tho city. Mr. Tran Quoc Trung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee; Mr. Pham Van Hieu - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City; Mr. Le Quang Manh - Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee and representatives of leaders of Can Tho city line agencies attended the receiving and working meeting.
